A homeowner has told how telecom workers erected a huge ‘eyesore’ telegraph pole right at the edge of his driveway without warning before giving him 28 days to complain.
John Marsh, 75, of Standish, Wigan, said the ‘massive’ broadband pole is the first to arrive on his road and is ruining the appearance of his pretty bungalow.
His street has become the latest in a string of areas seeing the wooden masts being pitched outside their aesthetic houses, with many ruining views or even blocking driveways.
Last week furious Yorkshire locals used their cars to stop telecom workmen from installing 500 ugly telegraph poles in their town.

Mr Marsh, who has lived at the property for 14 years, fears his home will now decrease in value and has warned neighbours that more of the poles could be installed.
He told MailOnline: ‘It’s an eyesore. It’s on the pavement, but it’s right on the corner of my drive. We had no notice at all he just turned up and did it.
